Archbishop Savio Tai Fai Hon, SDB, STD

Archbishop Hon was born in Hong Kong.  After studying at a Salesian school, he became a Salesian in 1969. He made perpetual vows in 1975 and was ordained a priest in Hong Kong in 1982.He received his B.A. in philosophy from the University of London and an STD rom Rome’s Pontifical Salesian University.  Archbishop was a visiting professor at various seminaries in China including Hong Kong. He was also responsible for the translation of the Catechism of the Catholic Church into Chinese. 

Father Hon became a member of the Pontifical Academy of Theology in 1999 and was named a member of the International Theological Commission in 2004 for two terms ending in 2014. In 2010, Pope Benedict XVI appointed Father Hon as Titular Archbishop of Sila and secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and ordained him bishop in February 2-011.

Pope Francis named Archbishop Hon Apostolic Nuncio to Greece in September 2017, his first position in the diplomatic service.   

韓大輝總主教

韓大輝總主教出生於香港;畢業於九龍鄧鏡波學校,於1969並加入慈幼會, 1975年發終身願。 他於1982年在香港晉鐸。韓大輝總主教取得倫敦大學哲學學士學位外,也於1988年及1999年分別考獲慈幼宗座大學神學博士以及宗座神學院院士學位。韓大輝於1990年代在中國大陸傳授神學;韓大輝除了1992年擔任聖神修院神學教材主編外,也於1993年至1995年也擔任《天主教教理》中文翻譯主編。

韓大輝總主教於1997年及1998年分別出任亞洲主教團神學關注辦公室成員及亞洲主教會議秘書助理;並於2004年起獲委任為國際神學委員會委員;此外,韓大輝也是香港聖神修院神哲學院神學教授、亞洲主教團協會神學顧問。

梵蒂岡於2010年12月23日宣布韓大輝總主教獲教宗本篤十六世委任為梵蒂岡萬民福音部秘書,同時被擢升為天主教錫拉教區領銜總主教。韓大輝總主教於2011年2月5日於聖伯多祿大殿晉牧。

2017年9月28日,教宗方濟各任命韓大輝總主教為宗座駐希臘大使,此為韓大輝總主教第一次擔任與梵蒂岡外交事務有關的職務

Sr. Chao Dong (Maria) 

Sr. Chao Dong (Maria) is a member of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacro Costato and of the Sorrowful Mother. She graduated from St. Mary’s College with a bachelor’s degree in education in the Philippines and taught in Savior School of Jesuit, served the church and worked for the mission in Manila for more than 12 years. After studying the program for perpetual vows in Rome, she returned to China and worked as a spiritual director in a Minor Seminary for three years in Hebei. On February 2018, she came to USA. Now she is teaching Religion classes at St. Catherine of Siena School, Burlingame, California. 

董超(玛利亚)是耶稣肋伤及痛苦圣母传教修女会修女。她毕业于菲律宾圣母大学的教育专业。在马尼拉耶稣会的光启学校任教,及服务当地教会和传教工作达十二年之久。在罗马学习永愿培育后回到中国,在河北一所备修院任灵修导师三年。2018年2月来美任教于伯林格姆的圣凯瑟琳学校的宗教课程

Nelson Lao 

勞乃遜先生是現任三藩市東華醫院牧靈師。勞先生畢業於柏克萊加大建築學學院,並在三藩市天主教大學獲神學碩士學位,是三藩市總敎區的慕道員導師。他曾於Mission Hospice寧養服務及加州太平洋醫學中心擔任牧靈工作。 ​

Nelson Lao is the Chaplain at the Chinese Hospital in San Francisco. He graduated from U. C. Berkeley with a degree in Architecture and received his Masters in Theology from the University of San Francisco. Nelson is a Board Certified Chaplain of the National Association of Catholic Chaplains and a Master Catechist of the Archdiocese of San Francisco. He previously worked as a Chaplain at Mission Hospice and the California Pacific Medical Center.

Compassionate Care – Living out Faith, Hope and Charity

 探望病人是一種美德,是耶穌命令我們去做的事(瑪竇25:31-46)。然而,許多人在探望及安慰病者時,會感到困難,即使對於至親的家人也是如此。面對疾病和痛苦的現實,以及死亡的可能性,我們常常不知道該說什麼或做什麼。這講座將為你介紹”四重規則” (Fourfold Way),去為病人和臨終者提供於情感和靈性上,富有意義的支持,而活出我們的信,望,愛德。

Visiting the sick is a virtue, something that Jesus commands us to do (Matt. 25). However, many people have great difficulties comforting the sick, even for family members and loved ones. When facing the reality of illness and suffering, and the possibility of death, we often do not know what to say or do. In this session, we will discuss a “Fourfold Way” to provide meaningful spiritual and emotionally supports to the sick and the dying; thus living out our Faith, Hope and Charity.

Veronica Wong was the Faith Formation Director at St. Stephen Church of San Francisco for ten years. Now retired she works as a volunteer catechist teaching RCIA under Chinese Ministry of Archdiocese of San Francisco. She also helps with the weekly Chinese Bible Study at Holy Name Church of San Francisco. Departing from Thomas Aquinas’ three conditions for the Beautiful, i.e. Wholeness, Harmony, Clarity/Radiance, we will look into the life of Mary, as it was told by the four Gospels, trying to learn how she had lived with Hope

Fr. Peter Zhai, S.V.D

Fr. Peter Zhai was born into a traditional Catholic family in China. He joined the missionary order, Society of Divine word (SVD) in China in1994. After completion of his novitiate in China, he was sent to Divine Word College in Iowa to study. Fr. Peter graduated from the college with BA degree in philosophy in 2001. Then, He moved to Chicago and studied theology at Catholic Theological Union and graduated in 2006. At the same year, he was ordained to the priesthood and sent to Los Angeles dioceses. Fr. Peter worked for 5 years in Los Angeles Archdiocese before coming to San Francisco Archdiocese.  His first two years of assignment in the archdiocese was in Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Redwood City as parochial vicar. In 2013, he was appointed as Director of Chinese Ministry by the mostRevered Archbishop Cordileone and moved in San Anne parish as a resident till now. 

翟林湧神父出身於中國內蒙古傳統天主教家庭。 他於一九九四年認識並加入天主教傳教修會,聖言會。 一九九七年,修會送他來美國愛荷華州的聖言大學學習。 二零零一年, 翟神父完成哲學學士學位後,進入芝加哥天主教聯合神學院攻讀神學。於二零零六年,翟神父完成神學碩士學位並於當年在芝加哥進鐸。進鐸後他被派遣於洛杉磯總教區的一個堂區作副本堂, 同時服務於本堂的華人團體。 五年後, 他被派遣於三藩市教區紅木城的一堂區作副本堂。 二零一三年, 三藩市總主教指派他成為三藩市華人宗徒事務處主任。翟神父現在居住於聖亞納教堂。

Growth of faith through Evangelization

“你們要去使萬民成為門徒, 因父及子及聖神之名給他們授洗。”這耶穌對門徒的福傳派遣一直以來就是我們每個人責任,我們教會的最終目的。 福傳給予教會生命,教會存在的目的就是福傳。 透過這講,我們可認識福傳的神學與靈修意義, 並探索我們如何在生活的具體環境中福傳,以幫助信仰在團體中成長。

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” This great commission of Jesus has been always the forefront task and ultimate purpose of the Church. Evangelization gives life to the Church; the Church exists for evangelization. The session will look into the spiritual and theological meaning of evangelization and explore methods of evangelization in our concrete context, which, in turn, help the growth of our faith in our communal life.
